Creating Change Counselling

WELCOME
Does your child feel like the world speaks a language they don't quite understand?
Growing up is rarely a straight path, and for neurodivergent children and young people, the world can often feel overwhelming, loud, or disconnected. Do you find yourself searching for a space where your child isn’t just "managed," but truly seen and celebrated for who they are?
I am an Integrative Children’s Counsellor dedicated to providing holistic, heart-led support for children and adolescents. By blending Person-Centred foundations with creative, evidence-based techniques, I create a therapeutic environment that adapts to the child—not the other way around.

Welcome to your first step towards
Creating Change

Challenge Your Narrative And Achieve Your Goals
A Neuro-Affirming Approach Rooted in Lived Experience
I specialise in supporting neurodiverse clients (ADHD, Autism, and learning differences). My passion for this area isn't just professional; it’s personal. Driven by lived experience and extensive clinical training, I understand the unique sensory, social, and emotional landscapes that neurodivergent individuals navigate.
What if therapy didn't feel like "work"? I believe in meeting young people where they are comfortable. This often means moving beyond the "talking chair" and into their world. My practice includes:
-
Digital Integration: Using platforms like Minecraft to build rapport, explore boundaries, and practice problem-solving in a digital space where many young people feel most confident.
-
Creative Expression: Utilising sandplay, arts, and trauma-informed activities to help clients express what words sometimes cannot.
-
Tailored CBT: Adapting Cognitive Behavioural tools to fit the cognitive profile of each individual.
Safety, Trust, and Expertise
I am deeply committed to the safety and well-being of my clients. I am ASIST trained (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), ensuring I can provide a grounded and courageous space for those navigating suicidal ideation and self-harm. My goal is to foster resilience and help young people tap into their own inner strengths.

“When the other person is hurting, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance... provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe the most precious gift one can give another”.
