Clinical Supervision: A Neuro-Affirmative & Relational Approach Reflective Practice for Progressive Practitioners I provide clinical supervision for counsellors, therapists, and frontline professionals who are committed to working inclusively and effectively with all nervous systems. My approach is grounded in the 7-Eyed Model, a holistic framework that allows us to look beyond the surface of a client’s "symptoms" and explore the rich, complex dynamics of the therapeutic relationship. Whether you are a generalist practitioner or a fellow neuro-affirmative specialist, my goal is to provide a restorative space where you can deepen your clinical skills, prevent burnout, and refine your advocacy for both neurotypical and neurodivergent clients. How We Work Together: The 7-Eyed Perspective Using this multi-dimensional model, our sessions move through seven distinct lenses to ensure your practice remains safe, ethical, and effective: The Client's World: Exploring the client’s lived experience, sensory profile, and internal narrative. The Interventions: Reflecting on the techniques used—from talk therapy to EMDR or sensory roadmapping. The Client-Therapist Relationship: Analysing the conscious and unconscious dynamics at play (including the "Double Empathy" problem). The Therapist’s Experience: A safe space to explore your own internal responses, counter-transference, and emotional wellbeing. The Supervisory Relationship: Looking at our "here and now" dynamic to mirror and inform your clinical work. The Supervisor’s Perspective: My role in providing specialist clinical insight, neuro-affirmative education, and ethical oversight. The Wider Context: Navigating the systemic barriers our clients face, including EHCP processes, school environments, and medicalised frameworks. A Specialism in Clinical Advocacy Unique to my supervision service is the support I offer for practitioners working within the EHCP and SEND systems. I help supervisees navigate the ethical and practical challenges of being a "clinical advocate," ensuring your reports and recommendations are robust, specific, and impactful without compromising your therapeutic boundaries. The Goal of Our Supervision: Supervision should be more than a "tick-box" requirement; it should be a source of nourishment for your professional soul. By integrating the 7-Eyed Model with a neuro-affirmative lens, we ensure your practice is not only clinically sound but also deeply human, sustainable, and empowering

  • Neuro-Affirming Family Support

Why "Regulation First"? Traditional therapy often focuses on changing a child’s behavior through rewards or consequences. For an autistic or neurodivergent child, this can lead to masking and further burnout. My approach is different. I work from the bottom up: Sensory Safety: Identifying what in the environment is causing distress. Co-Regulation: Helping parents and children find "calm" together. Skill Building: Developing tools that respect the child’s unique brain. Initial Parent Consultation; History, sensory profile, and goal setting CYP Therapy Sessions; Child-led or interest-led regulation work Parent Support Sessions; Providing you with the tools to support your child’s nervous system at home. School Liaison/EHCP Support; Professional letters to advocate for your child.

EMDR Therapy: A Path to Healing for Every Nervous System Processing the Past to Find Peace in the Present If you are carrying the weight of past trauma, or if your nervous system feels "stuck" in a cycle of high anxiety and hyper-vigilance, EMDR therapy offers a powerful, evidence-based way to find relief. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a structured therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer carry the same emotional or physical "sting." My practice is designed to be inclusive of all nervous systems, providing a safe space for both neurotypical and neurodivergent individuals. I recognise that for many, "trauma" isn't always a single event; it can be the cumulative stress of navigating a world that doesn't always match your sensory or emotional needs. Whether you are processing a specific life event or the chronic overwhelm of a neurodivergent life, EMDR provides a bridge from "survival mode" to genuine recovery. How EMDR Works with Your Unique Wiring: Unlike traditional "talk therapy," EMDR doesn’t require you to describe every painful detail of a difficult memory. Instead, we use "bilateral stimulation"—such as guided eye movements, gentle hand taps, or auditory tones—to assist your brain’s natural healing process. This allows your nervous system to move from a state of "threat" to one of "safety." In our sessions, EMDR is fully adapted to your comfort: A Personalised Approach: I work inclusively with both neurotypical and neurodivergent clients, recognising that every brain processes distress differently. We choose the stimulation method that feels most natural to you. Safety & Control: We move at a pace that respects your "window of tolerance." You are always in control of the process, ensuring you feel supported and grounded throughout. Addressing the Root Cause: We look beyond surface-level symptoms of anxiety or low mood to process the underlying memories and sensory triggers that keep you feeling "stuck." The Goal of Our Work: The aim is not to "erase" your history, but to change how those memories live in your body today. By thinning the emotional fog of the past, we create space for you to live with more autonomy, less anxiety, and a deeper sense of internal calm.

A Supportive Space for Your Nervous System From Overwhelm to Regulation If you or your child are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or simply misunderstood, please know that you don’t have to navigate this journey alone. My practice in Exeter offers a warm, neuro-affirmative sanctuary—a place where you can step away from the pressure to "fit in" and instead focus on what it means to feel truly safe and supported. Whether you are an adult navigating the heavy clouds of low mood and anxiety, or a parent searching for answers to your child’s sensory meltdowns and school-refusal, my door is open. We move away from the exhausting cycle of "fixing" behaviours and instead prioritise felt safety. In our sessions, your unique wiring is never seen as a problem to be solved, but as the essential blueprint for building a life of sustainable, compassionate regulation. Invested in Accessibility I believe that high-quality, neuro-affirming support should be available to those who need it, regardless of their current financial circumstances. To support this, I offer a sliding scale fee structure. Standard Rate: This is my professional fee, which allows me to sustain my practice and continue my specialist training. Supported Rate: A reduced fee reserved for students, low-income households, or families currently struggling with the additional costs of the SEND system. If you feel you fall into the supported category, please mention this in your initial enquiry. I hold a set number of these slots to ensure my practice remains inclusive.
