Creative Change Counselling
Welcome to your first step towards
Creating Change
Challenge Your Narrative And Achieve Your Goals
My Story
I am a fully qualified counsellor with a foundation degree in integrative counselling, with diplomas in counselling children and young people and cognitive behavioural therapy. My CPD portfolio also includes, ASIST training (working with suicide), Trauma informed practice, normal magic, working with neurodivergent clients and working with dissociative identity disorders.
NCPS accredited member.
Fully certified since 2022, I have been successfully counselling children and young people 11-25 through the charity Young Devon and providing a freelance in-school counselling service within two secondary schools in Exeter.
I am a person-centred counsellor and I enjoy working creatively to help clients understand their challenges, and explore alternative coping strategies whilst integrating cognitive behavioural therapy skills to create changes. This has proved an effective approach when working with anxiety, low mood, attachment issues, self-worth, stress and trauma.
With over 30 years of working with children and young people, I am knowledgeable about child development and experienced in working with neurodiversity. I value the importance of building trust, providing a nurturing approach, setting achievable goals and the need to sensitively challenge to support change.

“When the other person is hurting, anxious, alienated, terrified; or when he or she is doubtful of self-worth, uncertain as to identity, then understanding is called for. The gentle and sensitive companionship of an empathic stance... provides illumination and healing. In such situations deep understanding is, I believe the most precious gift one can give another”.
